TRS open on post-poll allies: KCR . TDP has no problem if KCR goes to NDA camp
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, KCR initially said that the Grand Alliance will get simple majority and form the government. But in case of a hung assembly, he said he is willing to support any party that backs Telangana.
By this, the TRS chief made it clear that he could go with the Congress, the BJP or the TDP. “I am going to New Delhi tomorrow and will meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and BJP leader L K Advani among others,” he said. KCR said the TDP will have to take the initiative in the first meeting of the assembly itself and bring the Telangana resolution as all parties are backing it.
By saying that the TRS will go with any party that backs Telangana, KCR has opened the floodgates for bargaining and horse-trading with the Congress, the TDP and PRP, said analysts.
Apparently sure that the TDP-led Grand Alliance will not be able to form government in the State without the support of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), its chief K Chandrasekhara Rao is adopting pressure building tactics from now itself.
On equations in Delhi too, Rao is keeping his options open, dropping sufficient indications that the TRS would not hesitate to support the NDA if it is going to help achieve the goal of a separate Telangana State.
‘‘The Congress ditched us after the 2004 elections forgetting its promise to grant the T State. But, this time round, we want a clear commitment from the Telugu Desam that a resolution in favour of the Telangana State would be passed in the first session of the Assembly itself,’’ Rao told mediapersons here on Saturday ahead of his visit to Delhi.
Aware as he is, that the numbers the TRS gets both in the Assembly and the Lok Sabha could be crucial to government formation in the State and the Centre, Rao has decided to camp in Delhi from tomorrow. He would meet leaders of different parties and drum up support for the Telangana cause before the results are out on May 16 since a coalition arrangement is a compulsion at least at the national level.
‘‘Any decision we take after the results will be in consonance with our primary objective. We will not allow anyone to use us like they did in the past,’’ Rao asserted. The TRS chief pointed out that almost every political party in the State expressed support to a T State during the poll campaign and it was their responsibility to carry forward the promise after results.he Telugu Desam Party seems to be preparing itself for a bumpy ride with its poll ally, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), anticipating that the separatist party could veer towards the NDA in the post-poll scenario given the BJP’s commitment to the Telangana cause.
‘‘TRS is no doubt a part of the Grand Alliance in the State. It will support the TDP in the State. But, at the same time, we are least bothered if the separatist party extends support to the NDA at the Centre,’’ a politburo member of the TDP said.
Immediately after the first phase of elections, TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao hinted at the possibility of supporting a BJP-led NDA government after the elections.
Rao is of the view that the NDA would be in a position to form the next government at the Centre.
Responding to this, the senior TDP leader remarked that it was the prerogative of the TRS to decide whom it should support in Delhi.
However, he ruled out the possibility of his party supporting the BJP.
‘‘We are working for the formation of a third front government at the Centre and there is no question of the TDP backing the BJP,’’ he asserted.
Expecting a hung Assembly this time, the BJP State leadership expressed its willingness to support the TDP, provided it dumped the Left. But, TDP leaders made light of the offer saying the saffron party would get an insignificant number of seats in the State.

TDP has NO Other Option then to succumb to BJP, Third Front is Already Disintegrating and fourth front is still born, to dream of forming a sustainable fourth front after may16th is to claim that a stillborn child would live for 100 years!!!!
There will not be any third front as Left parties started singing Congress song, so most of the former NDA parties will be in a fix to whom they should support? I would say there will be mid term elections soon and very tax payers will be burden again. People should understand that they should start voting back the national parties not the regional parties.
When I stated The same, fans of club dancers started hurling Insults on me.
