Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday expressed confidence that the Third Front would come to power in the general
elections
. “Third Front would definitely come to power. Neither Congress nor BJP is going to form the government. Telugu Desam would form a crucial role in the post-poll scenario like it did earlier,” he said, addressing a party meeting here.

The TDP, a key constituent of the Third Front, has fought the recent elections in alliance with the CPI, CPM and TRS.

Elections to the 42 Lok Sabha and 294 Assembly seats were held simultaneously in two phases in Andhra Pradesh on April 16 and 23.

Naidu, who returned from a week-long foreign trip yesterday, held meetings with the party leaders to review the polling pattern.

The “Grand Alliance” of TDP, CPI, CPM and TRS would win the elections and come to power in Andhra Pradesh, he said.
